“Every Year 8000 Amputations Take Place In Australia,

On Average That’s One Every Hour”

Amputation is the last resort in a desperate effort to save a life from a condition that cannot be cured. But the impact on the individual, their family and the nature of their life is devastating.

Everything changes, the simple task of moving around a room, getting out of bed and being independent enough to take yourself to the bathroom becomes not just challenging but physically and emotionally demanding.

Amputation for all it gives, also strips away, mobility, body confidence and dignity. They will be survivors forgotten and isolated from the world they once knew.

There is light however in the form of support, experience and absolute understanding from the very community going through that journey alongside.
